Carthage Music Club Celebrating 75 Years

The Carthage Music Club is hosting a celebration for its 75th anniversary on September 30 at the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame starting at 2 PM. Tenor Charles Robert Reid is the guest performer accompanied by club member Judy Galetar. Mr. Reid is the grandson of Dr. W.C. Smith and the son of Carolyn Reid, both of Carthage.

Reid has performed with the New York City Metropolitan Opera Company as well as in Europe with the Mannheim National Opera Theater. He will also be taking the position of Professor of Voice and Artist in Residence at Andrews University in Michigan this fall.
